This was the NC24 VFR400R in the blue and white Rothmans Honda colours used by Honda's works Grand Prix team, sold in Japan from July 1987. Mechanically it matched the standard bike, with the Pro-Arm single-sided swingarm, floating twin front discs and the 180-degree V4. Only the paint and the Rothmans sponsor decal set it apart, and the decal was supplied with the bike.
